The IT&E division is responsible for managing technology infrastructure for the ISIS Center and works closely with all other ISIS divisions to provide a wide range of solutions such as networking services, secure remote access, users’ support, website design and development, and video conferencing. IT&E is under contract to provide IT support to other departments in the Medical Center.
The division has also been awarded a National Library of Medicine grant to develop a Refugee health Information Network.
IT&E develops systems to manage clinical trial and research data collection these systems support database creation and automated data entry web forms design, data validation, data review, and reporting.
The developed applications are built with security measures in mind so the applications are compliant with different regulated requirements and include user authentication and a full audit trail. The developed solutions are usually web based applications with relational databases as a backend, and are multi-user systems that can be accessed via the Internet.
